When Recruit Recruit started trading in 2009 the economy was in the lowest depths of recession and nobody was hiring.  In addition to this, our Managing Director, Sarah Bishop, had been head of Corporate & Public Sector for a larger company for several years and had lost touch with all of her local contacts.  We joined BNI (Business Networking International), TEAM (The Employment Agencies Movement), the Chamber of Commerce, and 4N.  We found that business networking is a great way to build a business without having to bash the phones all day long.  The structured networking approach taken from the BNI system also led to great strategic partnerships.

Our TEAM membership allows us to work with over 400 independent recruiters.  These include generalist practitioners and specialist, niche providers.  This means that we have a better reach to more candidates which results in the best choice available to clients.  It also means that we can provide a total, holistic service without straying into areas that are not our areas of expertise.  The client also retains the convenience and efficiencies inherent in dealing with one central point of contact.
