My client is a well-established independent financial and wealth management company. The next generation of partners are coming through and have a strategic plan for growth and development of the business.  They are looking for somebody who can streamline operations and back office support so that the Advisor team can concentrate on talking to clients in the knowledge that the administrative requirements and compliance are kept on top of. 

You don’t have to have financial sector background as a Practice Manager, although this would be an advantage. You do need to have excellent people leadership and communication qualities though as you will be supervising a small team. The team consists of: 2 x paraplanners; 1 x HNW (High Net Worth) Client Liaison Officer; 4 x Administrators; and 4-5 Financial Advisors.  The team will grow in due course.

This is a friendly and busy company that is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and needs the utmost attention to detail.  A thorough and methodical approach to work is needed with the flexibility to ensure that client and team needs are met.

There is a generous starting salary of £25K - £30K dependent on experience and free parking available. This is a full-time, permanent role.

The role will include: 

  • Implementation of efficient systems and oversight of daily operations (including use of Salesforce CRM System)
  • Recruiting, training and supervising administrative staff
  • Organising duty rotas
  • Setting goals and ensuring the practice achieves its objectives
  • Quality Control
  • Managing records and IT systems
  • Enforcing good practice and maintaining brand reputation
  • Ensuring office is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules
  • Provision of KPI reports to Management
  • Ensuring good communication

You must have previous experience in an office or practice management role, great MS Office skills, and a knack for getting the best out of a team in a professional yet pleasant and approachable manner.
