apply.jpgJob Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary:  £50,000 to £60,000 negotiable
Location: Wolverhampton / Birmingham
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

My client is a large, growing independent construction company seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who likes the sound of joining a business where the senior management team are open to suggestion and listen to input.

The company specialises in often complex projects (such as hospital builds, rail infrastructure, schools & education), and requires somebody who feels satisfaction when operating in a challenging and critical environment.  You will need to be somebody with vision who can see the bigger picture and demonstrate an astute commercial acumen to realise projects on time and budget.

Ideally based in Birmingham / West Midlands you will have previous experience in managing large and complicated projects and will have developed an effective leadership style that facilitates team cohesion and getting the best out of people, often under deadline pressure.

This is a progressive-thinking company that offers a competitive package and excellent opportunities for long-term personal and professional development.  There will be plenty of opportunity to engage and contribute to the success of the business and this will be rewarded in return. The starting salary is £50K - £60K+ which is negotiable dependent on candidate experience.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the project team from a commercial perspective by understanding, quantifying, budgeting and managing the costs of building and renovation projects.  This will include:

  • Estimating material quantities from drawings
  • Procuring contracts – issuing tenders / RFQ and handling negotiations
  • Prepare & check monthly contractor billing
  • Reconcile materials & calculate wastage
  • Prepare monthly reports – costs, progress, cashflow etc.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, successful and growing business that invests in engaged and quality-driven employees.

Please apply now to avoid disappointment.
